Navigation Guide

Learn how to navigate the platform.

Dashboard Overview

When you log in, you'll see your main dashboard. The application uses the same deep-navy palette, blue accents, compact navigation, and subtle technical grid as the Can I Run That? website, while keeping dense security data easy to scan.

Header Navigation

The header at the top of every page includes these primary links:

  • Dashboard — Returns to your main dashboard view
  • Submit Repository — Opens the submission form to analyze a new repository or browser extension
  • Vendors — Opens vendor security reviews and approval workflows
  • Settings — Access organization configuration options when your role permits it

Administrative and support-access links appear only for accounts with the corresponding permissions. On smaller screens, the same horizontal navigation collapses behind the menu button.

User Menu

In the top-right corner, you'll find the documentation link and user menu (click your account name or email):

  • Documentation & Support — Opens the product documentation in a new tab
  • Manage Account — Open your account profile to manage security settings, including passkeys
  • Sign Out — Log out of your account

Main Content Area

The main dashboard displays:

  • Repository List — All your submitted repositories with their current status and risk grade
  • Submit New Repository — Button to add a new repository or extension for analysis

Tables remain horizontally scrollable on narrow screens so columns and row actions retain the same meaning as the desktop view.

Understanding Status Indicators

As you work with repositories, you'll see status badges indicating what's happening:

StatusColorMeaning
PendingGrayRepository submitted, waiting to start analysis
AnalyzingBlueAnalysis is currently in progress
CompleteNeutralAnalysis finished, report is ready
FailedRedAnalysis encountered an error
QueuedYellowRepository in queue, will start soon

How to Submit a Repository

  1. Click the "Submit Repository" button in the top navigation bar
  2. You'll be taken to the submission form
  3. Enter the URL (Git repository, browser extension webstore URL, or npmjs.com package URL) or upload a browser extension file manually
  4. If submitting by URL, optionally configure scheduled rescans (available for Git repository, browser extension webstore, and NPM package URL submissions — not for manual file uploads)
  5. Click "Start Analysis" to begin
  6. For Git/URL submissions, you'll be taken to a status page showing analysis progress; for manual extension uploads, you may be taken directly to the report once analysis completes

How to View a Report

  1. From the Dashboard, find your completed repository in the list
  2. If the repository is still analyzing, you'll be on the status page; once complete, you'll see a link to the full report
  3. Click to open the report with findings, categories, and severity levels
  4. Scroll through findings to explore results

How to Access Settings

Click the "Settings" link in the top navigation bar to access:

  • Team Members — Add and manage team member accounts
  • Anthropic API Keys — Configure "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) for Anthropic API access
  • Branding — Configure organization branding and display settings
